Beyond the ordinary:

Divination with Pendulums

TIts only since the onset of the Industrial revolution (so called) that the use of divination has declined in popularity: hard science replaced traditional ways of doing things so if you couldn't see it, touch it, smaell it then you couldn't believe it. In recent times even science has admitted getting things wrong and with the insights provided by quantum physics there is a return to older practices. What's electicity? I don't know, said Thomas Edison, but I know it works so let's use it. The same can be said of many other things - radio, tv, the internet, bluetooth. Do you know how they work? Probably (almost certainly) not. But we use them anyway The same goes for divination. Do I know how it works? No. I know it  is somehow connected to energy and that it works so let's find out what it does and how to use it!

This is picture from 1904. Steam engines need water and these gentlemen are looking to find it.

Pendulums

They come in all shapes and sizes: copper, wood, brass, crystal, glass. They come in all shapes and sizes. But really all you need is a piece of string and a key.               So what would you use a pendulum for?

A Very Long History

The earliest evidence is a cave drawing dating back to 6000 BC. The Egyptians used them. The Romans used them. The Church banned them in medieval times but still used them in the upper eschalons of power! Farmers still use them all over the world to find water. Others use them to find gold. The US army used them to find Vietcong tunnels in the Vietmnam war. The French used them to find unexploded bombs after the first world war.

Now you want to find out about them and learn to use them! Bring it on!
